After our 6th Class Graduation on Friday, June 16th, the children of Ardrahan National School got a wonderful surprise when they were asked to line up near the pitch to await a surprise. We were very privileged to have the Irish Coast Guard visit the school in one of their search and rescue helicopters. The helicopter landed on the pitch and the children were given treated to an indepth talk by the crew on their lives as members of the Irish Coast Guard search and rescue team. As the photos show, it was a very exciting morning for everyone.
During Science Week in Fourth Class, the children engaged in exciting activities centered around the theme of Regeneration. They delved into the topic of Energy, exploring renewable energy sources and their role in protecting our ozone layer.
