After our 6th Class Graduation on Friday, June 16th, the children of Ardrahan National School got a wonderful surprise when they were asked to line up near the pitch to await a surprise. We were very privileged to have the Irish Coast Guard visit the school in one of their search and rescue helicopters. The helicopter landed on the pitch and the children were given treated to an indepth talk by the crew on their lives as members of the Irish Coast Guard search and rescue team. As the photos show, it was a very exciting morning for everyone.
During the month of May, we had the pleasure of welcoming Garda Gerard Naughton to our school for an important talk on internet safety and drug awareness. He shared valuable information about how to stay safe online, including how to protect our personal information, recognise online dangers, and use social media responsibly. Garda Naughton was very engaging and took the time to answer all of our questions. We are confident about how to stay safe both online and in everyday life.
