We had great fun today at the blitz. The boys and girls thoroughly enjoyed their matches and worked hard as a team. Thank you to all the parents that helped make the day possible. Your support is greatly appreciated.
The children had a fantastic time in class making gingerbread men. After letting their creations cool, they eagerly decorated them with icing and smarties. They then used creative verbs and adverbs to write a detailed description of the baking process, which was added to their writing genre scrapbooks.
Fourth Class recently enjoyed a trip to the Michael Cusack Centre in the Burren, guided by Karen Van Dorp from the Burrenbeo Trust. The children had an exciting time exploring the unique limestone pavement and discovering the rich biodiversity that the Burren has to offer. They learned about the history of the GAA, geological formations and the variety of plant species in the Burren.
