Maths Week

Maths Week was full of exciting activities! The children used their ‘Maths Eyes’ to spot maths in the community, created maths-inspired art, played fun games, and solved problems together. We are lucky to have so many wonderful maths resources in the school for our maths learning.

Autumn Art

Our classroom has been filled with the beautiful colours of autumn! The children began by painting vibrant backgrounds using warm shades of red, orange, and yellow to show the changing season. These colours remind us of the leaves that fall from deciduous trees in autumn. Once the paint was dry, the children carefully cut out tree shapes from black paper and glued them onto their colourful backgrounds. The dark tree silhouettes stand out beautifully against the glowing autumn skies they created. This project helped us learn how deciduous trees change through the seasons. The results are full of colour, contrast and creativity!

Skipping during Athletics

Third Class have enjoyed practising a range of tricks with their new skipping ropes during PE, including double hops, jumping jacks, criss-crosses, shuffle hops, high knees and even backwards skipping!

We also learned about archaeology . Karen told us stories about the people who lived in the Burren long ago. We imagined their lives as we heard about stone forts, wedge tombs, and other remains that they left behind. From this visit, we now understand more about the importance of conservati...
