Visit from Garda Gerard Naughton

During the month of May, we had the pleasure of welcoming Garda Gerard Naughton to our school for an important talk on internet safety and drug awareness. He shared valuable information about how to stay safe online, including how to protect our personal information, recognise online dangers, and use social media responsibly. Garda Naughton was very engaging and took the time to answer all of our questions. We are confident about how to stay safe both online and in everyday life.

Spanish Treats - Thank you Ausias!

Last week, we wrapped up our Spanish lessons with Ausias. We've really enjoyed learning the language, and one of the highlights was making and tasting delicious Spanish delicacies together. We're excited to keep using our Spanish in the future!

Scratch Coding

We have been learning all about coding during Maths lessons for the past few weeks. Scratch is so much fun and we have created some wonderful games ourselves. We have learned all about plotting points on the x and y axis as well as understanding how coordinates help control movement and direction in our projects. It’s been exciting to see how Maths and coding work together to bring our ideas to life on the screen!  We also discovered how electricity can flow through our bodies to complete a circuit. By using this closed circuit, we were able to showcase our coded banana keyboard with the help of a micro:bit.
